LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor are seen kissing for the first time since revealing they are the couple.
The pair finally admitted their relationship last night after months of insisting they were just friends.
And today Chris, who has treated Maura to a 30th birthday trip to Dubai, shared a picture of them kissing in what looked like a photo booth.
The 29-year-old lad, who has long joked about being in the ‘friendzone’ with the Irish beauty, posted a picture of them together by the pool in Dubai.
He wrote “Turns out I fell in love with my best mate” while she shared the same picture saying: “He’s mine.”
The news sent Love Island fans into meltdown and their reality star pals rushed to congratulate them on their new relationship.
Greg O’Shea, who won Love Island alongside Amber Gill in 2020, wrote: “This is what 2020 needed .”
It came a week after the pair gave fans a clue what was going on – while throwing us all off the scent at the same time.
Chris was seen lifting Maura above his head before planting a kiss on her as part of the ‘Kiss your best friend’ TikTok challenge.
The pair never got together properly – despite going on a date and ending up in a ‘friendship couple.
Instead, Maura lusted after Tommy Fury – boyfriend of her best pal Molly-Mae Hague – before moving on to Curtis Pritchard.
However, Chris and Maura have grown increasingly close this year – though always denied anything was going on.
She recently said, when asked during a Q&A video: “This was the first question that came in and I’m not even a bit surprised.
“No, we’re not dating. We are the best of friends. We just get on really well. We got on really well in villa, but not a lot of that was shown.”
In August, HOAR revealed Maura had spent the night at Chris’s house after the pair went on a night out bowling and ice-skating together.
