EMMERDALE viewers were left terrified for Nicola King after she became Mackenzie Boyd’s secret business partner.
Nicola and Jimmy were left seriously short of funds for their custody battle for Carl after Juliette Holliday sabotaged their business.

And things got a whole lot worse this week when it dawned on them that Jimmy could potentially be facing criminal proceedings after crashing his van into Paul and Mandy’s wedding barn – and killing Paul Ashdale.
In tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, Nicola realised just how strapped for cash they were and decided to take matters into her own hands.
Bumping into Mack in the village, she announced: “I’ve got a proposition for you.”
Mack looked uneasy and said: “I’m almost certain the answer is going to be no.”
“I’m willing to let you use our vans, for a cut of whatever you make,” she told him.
“I’m not fussy about the kind of work here. The more it pays the better.”
When Mack asked Nicola why he could trust her this time, Nicola went on: “I’ve got two court cases to fund now. I’ve got to stop my husband going to prison and earn custody of his kid. By whatever means necessary. There’ll be no back stabbing, because I literally can’t afford it. So, have we got a deal?”
Mack turned serious and said: “I want you to realise what you’re getting yourself in for. You want a bigger cut, great. But that means you’re going to be dealing with some heavies. Guys who can be seriously unforgiving for no apparent reason do you understand?”
Nicola didn’t bat an eyelid as she replied: “I understand fine. I just need to make some money.”
As Mackenzie walked off, he said: “Fine. you’ve got yourself a deal. Partner.”
Fans were left terrified for Nicola and flocked to Twitter to express their concern.
One tweeted: “So Nicola is going to risk both of them going to prison and all kids ending up in care???!!!!”
Another added: “Nicola what are you doing?”
A third chimed in: “Oh Nicola’s done a deal with the devil.”
Emmerdale viewers know that Nicola tried to negotiate a dodgy deal with Mack last month after assuming he was setting Jimmy up.
But when Mack caught Nicola filming him and realised she was stabbing him in the back, he locked her in the back of a van.
Mack then called Jimmy and told him she needed help – and that she was in trouble with the private investigator.
But Mack and Nicola were horrified when a panicked Jimmy sped off in his van and lost control, careering into the wedding barn which exploded and killed Paul Ashdale.
After blaming each other for the car crash that killed Paul, Mack and Nicola decided to keep quiet about their dodgy deal.
