EMMERDALE residents are preparing themselves for Meena Jutla’s murder trial and the serial killer has a trick up her sleeve.
But during last night’s instalment of the ITV soap, fans were distracted by the appearance of a familiar face known as Amy Robbins.
Justice will be served to Meena as the serial killer played by Paige Sandhu gets ready to stand trial for her list of crimes – which include murder.
On Monday’s trip to the Dales, the sinister nurse found out her sister Manpreet Sharma (portrayed by Rebecca Sarker) is reconsidering her stance on testifying as prosecution desperately tries to get her to speak out.
Upon realising Manpreet would likely go up against her, Meena was hatching a plan to take her down, after securing a witness in her favour.
The criminal isn’t the only one plotting as Defence Barrister Milligan proved it by updating her on how their case was building.

This is when she revealed her job was to build a case strong enough to make Meena look innocent for her crimes.
However, TV fans were too stunned to keep up with the plot as they recognised actress Amy Robbins, who is no stranger to roles on the small screens.
While she has made appearances in many programmes in the likes of Casualty, Holby City, Heartbeat, Father Brown and Doctors, Amy is most known for her role on The Royal.
Between 2003 and 2011, Amy took on the role of Dr. Jill Weatherill in the drama series.
Amy has mainly been seen on soaps as of late.
Prior to her appearance in Emmerdale, she was seen in EastEnders as Jane Carter in 1999 and in Hollyoaks as Lynette Drinkwell in 2017.
She isn’t the only member of her family in the limelight.
Amy’s singer sister Kate Robbins – who looks a lot like her – appeared in EastEnders in 2021 as music agent Jane Glover and also landed a role in Netflix’s After Life.
Kate also happens to be the mother of I’m A Celebrity and Inbetweeners star Emily Atack.
While they share two other sisters, Jane and Emma, who are less likely to be in the spotlight, Amy and Kate’s brother Ted is also a well-known actor and TV presenter.
