EMMERDALE fans have called out a blunder during Meena Jutla’s murder trial.
The serial killer – who is played by actress Paige Sandhu in the ITV soap – is facing justice after murdering four villagers.
However tonight fans were distracted by a blunder from Leyla Harding.
As Liam was being questioned and mauled by the barrister, Leyla sat in court texting those back in the village.
She told them how things were going – despite using a phone in court being a major blunder and something that wouldn’t be allowed.
Meanwhile on the stand Liam was losing track of himself as Meena’s lawyer tied him in knots and made him seem like he had an anger management problem.
Furious at the barrister for blaming Leanna, Liam became enraged.
He shouted: “She killed her!”
Turning to Meena he yelled: “Just admit it, admit what you said to me.
“You killed my little girl. You pushed her and you watched her die.
“She knows what she did, she murdered her. She is a dangerous, evil psychopath and she cannot get away with it.”
The judge bizarrely told the jury that Liam needed to calm down – and adjourned the trial until tomorrow.
Liam was left shouting that the jury needed to hear the truth from him.
But with Leyla openly texting in court and the judge’s behaviour, fans were distracted by the blunders.
One wrote: “Leyla…that phone shouldn’t be on #Emmerdale
A second said: “Turn it off!!”
Another added: “Strangest court case ever lol.”
