ALESHA Dixon has revealed she wants to return to the US and carve out a full-time career in Hollywood after enjoying America’s Got Talent success.

The Britain’s Got Talent star had a successful stint on the Simon Cowell show and is eager to pursue new opportunities when restrictions ease up.

Prior to her successful TV career, the mum-of-two was best known as part of Mis-Teeq before she became a successful solo artist.

The 41-year-old then appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, which she won, before becoming a judge on the show, and then taking her chair on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Speaking to the Mirror, Alesha revealed her plans to take on the US once again.

She said: “It was a dream of mine to work on American television. Everybody gets to a point where they get itchy feet, they want to try something new and be challenged.

“The UK is quite small. Once you’ve worked on Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly, the pool of shows is quite limited.

“When I look at America, it seems like there’s more.

“I like to step into an arena that makes me feel afraid – it’s good for me. By stepping out of my comfort zone, great things come.”

She added: “I was really scared in the most amazing way. I can’t wait for lockdown to be over so I can go back.”

If Alesha is planning on cracking the US it sounds like she’s going to be very busy as the beauty also revealed in an exclusive chat with HOAR Online that she is plotting a return to the charts.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed she has secretly been writing and recording a “heartfelt” new album, although she is yet to finish it due to lockdown.

But it could be released to coincide with her 20-year anniversary in the industry in January next year, when the debut single from her girl group Mis-Teeq, Why, entered the charts.

Alesha explained: “I was in the middle of writing some great, really authentic songs, really honest. Some of them were actually inspired by this whole craziness that’s been going on in the world.

The star is also a TV fave on Britain’s Got Talent

“I’m ready for the next record. I really want to make a heartfelt, honest record that really has something to say. I’m excited to get back, so fingers crossed.

“I was in the studio writing and then Boris Johnson said lockdown and the session had to stop.

“I got a text the other day from the producer asking if I felt ready to go back in the studio. I am definitely ready, I’m just making sure that we can and it’s allowed and it’s all safe.”
