AMANDA Holden reunited with best pals Tamzin Outhwaite and Angela Griffin for a socially distanced picnic in the park.

The group of gal pals got together earlier this week to make sure they could see each other before the new government restrictions of not being allowed to meet in groups bigger than six are put into place on Monday.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 49, was joined by some of our former favourite soap stars for a chinwag, some tasty food and a few cheeky cheeky alcoholic beverages in Regents Park, central London.

Amanda was joined by EastEnders legends Tamzin Outwaith and Tracey-Ann Oberman, Brookside stars Nicola Stephenson and Lisa Faulker, Waterloo road actress Angela McGriffin, and Casualty star Lucy Gaskell.

Tamzin – who played Mel Owen in popular BBC soap – took to Instagram to share a group selfie of the girls together enjoying the last bit of summer sunshine.

She captioned the post: “Well that may be the last time we do this for a while.

At the start of lockdown, the squad made sure to keep up to date with each others shenanigans with their very own cocktail-filled Zoom calls.

Posting a snap of one of their virtual evenings, Angela revealed: “It’s me, Lisa Faulkner, Nicola Stephenson, Tamzin Outhwaite, Tracy Ann Oberman, Amanda Holden, Sarah Parish and Lucy Gaskell.

The friends took part in regular Zoom dates to catch up with one another during lockdown

“We have cocktails, we’ve done a pub quiz and also played bingo and me, Lisa and Nicola FaceTime each other every day.

“Sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we moan and sometimes we just have a cup of tea.

“We know we’re lucky that we’ve got gardens, but if lockdown does your head in, it does your head in! It doesn’t matter if you’ve got outside space or not!”

When lockdown restrictions were finally lifted in July, Amanda was left in tears when she reunited Angela Griffin, Tamzin Outhwaite and Lisa Faulkner for a socially distant walk.

The mum-of-two got all emotional as she met up with her famous pals for the first time in months.

Alongside the snap of them all, she said: “Omg. I literally cried when I saw these #girls in the flesh for the first time since #lockdown – a socially distanced walk this morning. SOOO WONDERFUL to be with them.”

Their girly picnic reunion comes just days after Boris Johnson altered the number of those allowed to gather together from 30 down to six.

The clampdown comes as coronavirus cases continue to soar across the UK.

The latest government guidelines were announced by the Prime Minister at a coronavirus press briefing on September 9.

The number of people allowed to meet inside or outside varies throughout the UK.

Up to eight people from three different households can meet indoors in Scotland, up to six people from two households in Northern Ireland and up to four households can form an “extended household” in Wales.

Matt Hancock said that the rules would be in place for the “foreseeable future”.
