AMANDA Holden has revealed she would love to take the spot on Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice now long-time team captain Holly Willoughby is leaving.
But the Britain’s Got Talent judge admitted she wouldn’t be as good because everyone knows she’s “up for anything”.
Last week HOAR exclusively revealed Holly, 39, was stepping down from her post as team captain on comedy game Celebrity Juice show after 12 years.
While no one has been confirmed yet and rumours are rife that Michelle Keegan might be in the running, Amanda has also thrown her hat into the ring.
Speaking to the Huff Post, the mum-of-two said she would love to be part of the show again.
She said: “I would love it, but it is hard work because they film for blinking hours. I remember when I filled in for Holly, I was like “Yeah! I’ll come and do that”.”
Talking about the raunchy antics associated with the show, Amanda noted that she might not be as good as someone who plays the “goodie-goodie” like Holly.
She added: “I know Holly is not goodie-goodie by any means, but that’s what she plays, and I always think it’s better to watch someone who is straighter doing things out of their comfort zone. Everyone knows I’m up for anything, so it’s not as funny.”
After the news had been announced, Holly posted a heartfelt tribute to Keith Lemon, real name Leigh Francis, on Instagram.
The TV presenter who has three children with her producer husband Dan Baldwin, 45, told the ITV2 show’s producers about her decision after filming several lockdown editions with host Leigh, 47.
Since launching the panel series in 2008 Holly — mum to Harry, ten, Belle, eight, and Chester, five — has become one of the UK’s most successful female TV presenters.
She fronts ITV daytime show This Morning, alongside Phillip Schofield, 58, and filled in for Ant McPartlin, 44, two years ago on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here.
Holly’s decision to quit Celebrity Juice comes after pal and fellow panellist Fearne Cotton, 38, left the series in 2018 to focus on new projects.
After HOAR broke the news Ladbrokes put Our Girl actress Michelle down as 4/1 for the Celebrity Juice post alongside host Keith Lemon.
Just behind is Scarlett Moffatt at 9/2, and Fearne Cotton to return at 5/1.
And one interesting potential contender is Eamonn Holmes and 6/1, while Gemma Collins is up for 12/1.
