ANT and Dec aim to branch out into streaming services such as Netflix.

The telly duo made the decision after 20 years of making television for terrestrial channels.

Ant and Dec are working on ‘new streaming opportunities’

Ant and Dec, both 44, have hired a new business manager at their company, Mitre Television Limited, who is tasked with working on “new streaming opportunities” in a bid to grow their business further.

An insider said: “Ant and Dec have dominated our screens for years but now they’d like to have a shot working with the streaming giants – including Netflix.

“They’re tied up in a mega-money deal with ITV so won’t be appearing on screen but want their production company to push into the market.

“There are endless opportunities for their old formats which could end up being put onto streaming platforms.

“They own the back catalogue to Byker Grove and SMTV so there’s scope to get those back out there for fans on a platform like Netflix.

“Plus there are new and exciting ideas that their teams have come up with that could work really well for the streaming giants.

“Netflix is the obvious target but there is scope for ideas that could work on Apple and Amazon too.

“Ant and Dec’s TV business is hugely lucrative, as well as massively successful, and this could be another huge money spinner for them.”

The Geordie presenters will be back on screen later this autumn as they return to front the Britain’s Got Talent live finals and I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here.
