ANT McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are finally back working together in person having spent more than three months apart.
The Geordie pals reunited in a studio to record the audio version of their forthcoming new autobiography, Once Upon A Tyne.
Ant and Dec shared the good news with fans by recording an amusing video of their day out in London.
The clip starts with Dec, 44, peering around the back of a black people carrier before beckoning for someone to join him.
As he runs out of shot, Ant, also 44, then appears and mouths: “Let’s go!”
The lads can then been seen in the studio while keeping a social distance from each other in line with current Government guidelines.
Dec tells the camera: “I’m distanced socially.”
Clips of Ant and Dec recording their book are then shown, before Ant declares they have finished.
Ever the tease, Dec opens their hardback book quickly as an audio clip of him saying, ‘a kangaroo’s anus’ is played.
He does it again and, this time, Ant can be heard reading: “Waving in front of an elephant in the…”
“That’s enough of that!” Dec quickly declares.
Posting the video online, the boys made reference to the intro of their 1994 hit song Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble.
Ant and Dec wrote: “Watch us wreck the mic… (the audio book remix) Great to be back on the job together again!
“P.S there’s a few sneaky listens at the end of the video…”
Fans have gone wild for the footage, as Ant and Dec have been separated since the end of March after the Covid-19 lockdown began.
At the time, they were nearing the end of this year’s series of Saturday Night Takeaway and had to film the last few episodes from their own homes.
The duo also kept fans laughing through lockdown with a selection of funny videos but, again, they were all recorded in their separate houses.
Commenting on the news that Ant and Dec have reunited, one fan gushed: “Get to see you back working together!”
Another said: “Yey Ant and Dec back together but still social distancing .”
A third added: “Good to see you both bk together again, love you boys .”
Ant and Dec’s autobiography will be released in September and charts their 30-year career together.
