Simon has since switched back to meat and chocolate following his electric bike crash.

In fact, the dad-of-one is even being treated to his favourite turkey cottage pie by his girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

A source told The Mirror: “Lauren has been to the hospital to drop a few things off once each day. She has been making his favourite Italian bean soup and also Cottage Pie with turkey, which he loves.

“His diet is incredibly healthy but there’s nothing better than traditional English comfort foods and treats when you’re on the mend.

Simon has slimmed down in recent months

He decided to overhaul his lifestyle after collapsing in October 2017.

Doctors warned against him living “like a vampire” by staying awake each day until 8am — saying it had to stop.

He admitted: “I went to see this doctor in London. We did some tests. And then a month later he said, ‘You have the worst diet I’ve ever met from any patient’.

“So I went, ‘Okay, out of the smoking, the drinking, and diet, what do I have to drop?’ And he said, ‘The diet’. So I said, ‘I’m in’.”
