HE broke his back in three places just over a week ago but SIMON COWELL has already planned his return to work.
I can reveal the music mogul will be filming in October for a one-off special of Britain’s Got Talent, which will air later this year, featuring some of the best acts to appear in the series’ history.
Simon, who injured himself falling off an electric bike a fortnight ago, will take his place alongside ALESHA DIXON, AMANDA HOLDEN and DAVID WALLIAMS for the 60-minute special being filmed in London.
He was always going to miss the upcoming BGT semi-finals, as HOAR revealed, but is making a special trip for this celebration, which is likely to air as part of ITV’s festive schedule.
A source said: “Simon is a total workaholic and even an accident as nasty as his won’t keep him off for long. He’s been working from his home in Los Angeles since the accident happened and is in contact with his team.
“The plans for this one-off special of Britain’s Got Talent have been in the pipeline for months and he is convinced he will be well enough to take his place on the panel.
“The show will feature some of the best talent from the start of the series in 2007. Simon has been told to take it easy but he much prefers to be busy. Plus he loves working on BGT, so for him it’s something to look forward to.”
Simon was forced to cancel all his current work commitments after the accident, which happened when he was trying out his new £16,500 bike for the first time.
US pop star KELLY CLARKSON has taken his place on America’s Got Talent as they filmed the finals of the show last week, but insiders have insisted he will be well enough to work again by October.
You can say many things about Simon, but he really is the hardest- working bloke in the biz.
Rolling out a new ballad
Rolling Stones have just released a new song but they’re not resting on their laurels.
Mick Jagger and Co are already preparing their next hit following the success of Scarlet, which had Normal People actor Paul Mescal in the video.
Guitarist Keith Richards says he’s working with their long-term producer Don Was on the track.
He said: “I’m talking to Don and Mick and trying to figure it out. If this thing goes on much longer we might try and put out another track. Work differently, instead of making an ‘album’ album, just release tracks.”
Mick added: “I was working on this ballad. The reading of it is quite difficult to do. It’s not technically difficult, but it’s not an easy song to interpret.”
He told Uncut Magazine: “I’m very aware I’ve got to get it over in the right way. It’s got to come out like you mean it.”
I exclusively revealed how the rock legends had signed Paul for the video, which dropped last week, to their track. The clip sees him dance around a house in a dinner suit.
They will struggle to top that.
Cash ash got the cream
ASHLEY Roberts is doing holidays right, showing off her best bikini despite indulging.
This snap she posted on Instagram proved the ice cream and pizza she’d been munching on had zero effect on the figure.
The Pussycat Doll is in Turkey with a gal pal for her break.
She also posted a picture of a double scooped ice cream cone saying: “Calories don’t count on holiday.”
The former Strictly star then joked that she had been eating the treat for breakfast.
I wish I could get away with ice cream first thing in the morning.
