DEAN Gaffney was left struggling to speak after he downed a shot of tequila during a date on Celebs Go Dating.
The 42-year-old necked the booze for a spot of Dutch courage after he was told by the agents that he needed to flirt more.
And he didn’t hold back as he tried to woo the lucky lady, who couldn’t help but laugh at some of his chat up lines.
After they did the shot, she told him: “I know a trick, it makes it so much more bearable because I feel like you are still suffering from this shot right now.”
Looking uneasy and with a rather husky voice, he replied: “Yeah.”
She continued: “All you need to do is hold the shot in your mouth for like five seconds.”
He asked: “Are you telling me that didn’t affect you when it went down?”
“No I can’t feel that – my lips feel a little… I can feel it on my lips,” she replied.
Dean told her: “They will later.”
As she burst out laughing, Dean said: “ I have got to flirt, the agents told me to flirt.”
He didn’t stop there though as he asked her: “Do you hold a lot in your mouth?”
Once again she laughed off his comment but agreed when he said they would have to have another shot later to test out her method.
The actor previously dated Rebekah Ward, 25, who was just three years older than his twin daughters.
She dumped him after he begged a mum-of-two on Facebook to send him snaps of her boobs and bum after he wrote flirty texts to the 26-year-old dental nurse.
Dean and Rebekah started dating shortly after he split from Sarah Burge, his childhood sweetheart and mother to his two children.
