SHOCKING pictures show the moment a man gropes a footballer stars breast as he gets a selfie with her.
The fan who groped Sofia Huerta is now being sued by the Mexican team whose stadium the incident took place at and they say they will ban him for life.
The 26-year-olds club Houston Dash had just finished a friendly match with Mexican women’s champions Tigres UANL in the city of Monterrey on Saturday, October 5.
It was the first international friendly played by a National Women’s Soccer League team in Mexico.
After the historic game USA international midfielder Huerta went to greet the fans and take pictures with them.
She eventually took a picture with the male fan, who moved in with his phone and then placed his left hand on her breast.
Sophia remained calm and the man continued smiling as he had his photo taken.
The photo was posted on the Twitter account of Fut Femenil Womens Football fan site with a message condemning the man’s action.
“After yesterday’s @TigresFemenil vs @HoustonDash we saw a fan acting heinously with one of the players taking advantage of her disposition to take a picture, read the tweet.
‘UPSET’
They added: “We saw and heard Sofia on the way to the dressing room and she seemed uncomfortable and upset.
One fan responded: “Look at this guy’s hand over @schuerta (and no, it was not “by accident”) YOU DO NOT DO THAT!”
Tigres later released made a statement also condemning the man.
It said the club is “committed to eradicating any form of harassment or any situation that goes against someone’s dignity or intends to intimidate, degrade or offend women within our stadium and our community”.
The statement went on to say the club plan on “filing a lawsuit” and “asks our fans to collaborate to identify the possible aggressor.
Once the man is identified the “pseudo fan will be banned for life from any of our facilities for both female and male matches”.
No official statement from Sofia Huerta has been reported.
