DANCING On Ice fans have all been left with the same complaint after last night’s final.
The final saw Olympic gymnast Nile, 27, and his partner Olivia Smart raise the trophy after skating the Olympic gold-winning Bolero dance.
His competition, Joey Essex and Vanessa Bauer also danced the Bolero, but failed to secure the winning spot.
And fans all had the same opinion of the ‘dated’ Bolero dance, as some viewers said it should be scrapped.
“Can we change it up. I know the bolero is iconic but its been done too much now. Its just boring,” wrote one person.
Another added: “Is Vanessa not sick of doing the bolero every single year lol so boring.”
A third penned: “Maybe it’s time to retire the Bolero skate now.”
And a fourth agreed, saying: “If we have to see the Bolero one more time…”
Judges Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill famously bagged an Olympic gold after performing their life-changing Bolero routine in 1984.
Olympian Nile Wilson and his skating partner Olivia Smart became emotional after they performed the famous dance during the Dancing On Ice final.
The pair looked clean and crisp on the ice as they took on an array of daring moves.
Nile said he’d given “110% – and it means the world” to him to taken on the “emotional” dance.
And Christopher Dean could be seen fighting back tears too, as was last year’s winner Regan Gascoigne who sat in the audience and watched along.
Judge Christopher Dean, said: “It is an emotional dance and when you get to do it, you feel it and that’s what we wanted to pass on to you and you felt it tonight”, while Jayne Torvill added that what she had liked about their version was they had lots of moments from the original but “still made it their own”.
