DANCING On Ice fans fumed tonight after a show favourite was sent home tonight.

Tonight, the dreaded skate-off returned after it was axed in a shock twist last week.

Ekin-Su appeared emotional after landing in the skate-off again on Dancing On Ice
She faced Patsy Palmer in the dreaded skate-off

Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu was sent home after she landed bottom of the leaderboard in eighth place behind EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer.

Viewers’ votes were then combined with the judge’s scores, leaving Ekin-Su facing Patsy in the skate-off.

Following their final routines the judges decided to send Ekin-Su home, and the gutted reality star said: “We put so much time into it.

“All the other work commitments I had, I made this priority and I put my all into it.”

Host Holly Willoughby comforted a tearful Ekin-Su, telling her: “Don’t get upset, you’ve done yourself proud out there.”

Patsy also broke down in tears following an emotional skate off.

Fans commented on the elimination, with one writing: “I’m crying Ekin deserves so much more she could’ve improved more and more but I guess only old people watch this show”

Another said: “Ah such an emotional skate off from Ekin Su and Patsy tonight with tears in their eyes after their performances I really feel for them”

And a third added: “Gutted Ekin gone from #DancingOnIce so that’s it,I’m tuning in to #22kidsandcounting instead 😡

Gymnast Nile Wilson topped the leaderboard tonight with 34 points.

Currently, Olympian Nile and Towie star Joey Essex have been named as favourites to win the show.

And it was quite the night on the ice, with a surprise appearance from Ekin-Su’s Love Island boyfriend Davide who joined in on her sizzling routine.

Another shock appearance came from former Health Secretary Matt Hancock – who was slammed by viewers.

Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson kicked off dance week with a samba and scored a worthy 32.5 with Dancing On Ice partner Mark Hanretty.

But actress Mollie Gallagher and her partner Sylvain Longchambon failed to impress with their cheerleading-inspired skate on the show.

Following their performance to the hit 2 Be Loved by Lizzo, she was awarded a score of 26 which sparked boos among the audience.

Judge Oti Mabuse said the 25-year-old seemed “really out of your comfort zone” performing the routine, while Christopher Dean said: “It started off great. When you started skating by yourself, your confidence went down.”

He then challenged the actress to be the first celebrity to perform the dreaded “head-banger” move in next week’s show, which she accepted.

Meanwhile, Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson kicked off dance week with a samba on Dancing On Ice with partner Mark Hanretty, scoring 32.5.

The couple brought flamboyant energy to the ice, skating to Conga by Gloria Estefan, with Stenson ending in the splits.

Oti, who got the top score with Stenson’s husband Danny Mac when they performed the samba on Strictly Come Dancing, said: “It was so brilliant – forget Danny and I. You were sassy, you were cheeky. This is the girl I have been waiting for, well done.”

Last week, Michelle Heaton was sent home after a shock twist that saw the show skipping the skate-off.
