DANCING on Ice viewers blasted the finale as a “fix” – claiming Nile Wilson had an “unfair advantage”.

Despite making history as he became the first male star to perform a headbanger, fans said his routine was too heavily focussed around his gymnastic talents.

Former Olympic gymnast Nile showed off his impressive skills on the ice alongside a number of nods to his day job.

It led some to criticise his ability to be fairly compared to the other finalists, Joey Essex and The Vivienne.

One commented: “Nile is amazing but has a big advantage.”

“Is this a gymnast show or what?”, Another asked.

Someone else said: “Okay but is that not an unfair advantage though because he does all those stunts for a living anyway?”

Three celebs ended up in the Dancing On Ice skate-off last weekend, but all four judges chose to save Joey.

Judges Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Christopher Dean and Jane Torvill will judge the celebs for the final time tonight, and are joined by hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Bookmaker Coral makes Nile – partnered with Olivia Smart – the long odds-on favourite at 1-5 to win the Dancing On Ice final while The Vivienne is second best in the betting at 6-1 and Joey is 8-1 to spring an upset.

It comes as Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will not perform their iconic Olympic routine after Jayne suffered a nasty injury during rehearsals.
