DANCING On Ice star H from Steps is determined to win and become the first same-sex couple to do the Bolero in final.

The pop star, 43, wants to make history performing Torvill and Dean’s famous Olympic winning skate for the first time with skate pro Matt Evers on the ITV show, the Sun Online can reveal.

Ian ‘H’ Watkins has bounced back from being in the bottom two on Sunday night’s show and has vowed to work hard to get to the final with Matt.

The 5,6,7,8 singer said: “My dream is for two guys to do the bolero. My ultimate dream. The iconic dance.”

Matt, 43, who is always paired with the show’s biggest stars including Gemma Collins last year, added: “It’s such a passionate piece – it’s the ultimate for the show to get to do the bolero in front of Jayne and Chris.

“I want to win this. I have done the bolero before with Suzanne Shaw, then I did it again with Jorgie Porter, so to do it with H would be the icing on the cake. Jayne and Chris would be in ore. It’s progression, they won the Olympics back in ’84 with the bolero, and now we’re in 2020.”

Matt, who also revealed the perils of being in a same sex couple when H’s “balls got in the way” of a roll up lift, also spoke about new challenges of being a same sex couple on ice during his fab new podcast The Truth, The Gay Truth and Nothing But The Truth.

He said: “For some holds I’m the dominant one, others he is.

“Because of our size difference and me being taller it’s easier for me to pick him up.

“But we have tried him picking me up, but I need to lay off the pies and pizza because he can’t quite pick me up.”

The pair were gutted to be in the bottom two yesterday, but have come back fighting
Matt made a gaff when he posted for his followers to vote for Corrie’s Lisa George and Tom

The duo made history as the first same sex pairing on the TV show, beating BBC rivals Strictly to it.

Last night fans of the pair were stunned to see them in the bottom two on Sunday night.
They won a dance-off against Brianne Delcourt and Kevin Kilbane, who were voted off the show by judges.

Matt thought they could have been in the bottom two thanks to a gaffe he made.

He laughed: “Well firstly, I put up Lisa and Tom’s voting number on social media, instead of mine and H’s.”
