DANCING On Ice fans have claimed actress Carley Stenson was overmarked last night after revealing her friendship with judge Oti Mabuse.

The Hollyoaks star delivered an incredible routine and topped the leaderboard with a huge score of 36.

The Vivienne was some 7.5 points behind in second place with a still impressive 26.5.

While Carley’s dance to Jessie Ware’s Say You Love Me was praised by fans, some felt it didn’t warrant quite so high of a score in week two.

One wrote on Twitter: “Judges’ favourite is Carley this year then… Ridiculously overmarked!

Another posted: “Sorry – Carley was overmarked. They criticised Molly for not letting go of Sylvain – yet neither did Carley.”

However, others thought it was well worth the haul.

One enthused: “Carley has been the one I have been waiting to watch, and she was fantastic. I can’t wait to see what else she can do if that was week one.”

Another said: “Brilliant routine from Carley. She’s the dark horse of the competition. It seems quite open this year.”

Carley, 40, who first became a household name in 2000 playing Steph Cunningham in Hollyoaks, is now following in the footsteps of former Strictly champ husband Danny Mac.

And it’s because of her link to the BBC dance show that Carley, who is a mum of one, is “fierce friends” with Dancing On Ice judge Oti.

Speaking exclusively to HOAR, Carley explained: “Thinking about it, it genuinely does give me a little bit [pretends to be sick].”

She added: “I’m really nervous and excited about what Oti is going to say. Because obviously she has danced with Danny.

“She’s a fierce friend but she’s already said ‘I’m not going to hold back Carls just because we’re friends’. I’m like, ‘no no’. “

Carley added: “Oti is amazing, so I want full Oti. I’m ready, well no I’m not ready for her!”
