LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins looked downcast today as she was seen for the first time since revealing her explosive split from boyfriend Curtis Pritchard.
The 29-year-old Dancing On Ice star admitted last night that their seven-month relationship was over, telling fans that they “couldn’t make it work”.

Maura stared down towards the pavement looking miserable as she walked to her car the morning after the announcement.
The star was wearing the same shiny black jacket with a fur-lined hood that she wore in a Valentine’s Day selfie posted by Curtis last month.
She left her flat in Essex clutching her phone and with a large Louis Vuitton bag hooked over her arm before getting into a car and driving off.
Despite her rep yesterday insisting the Love Island 2019 stars were still an item after not being pictured together for weeks, Maura announced their split soon after.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.
“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.
“There is no easy way to get through a break-up and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.”
She signed off with a large emoji of a broken heart.

Curtis and Maura had not been seen together for a month
The pair came in fourth place on Love Island’s summer series last year
Maura and 24-year-old Curtis had long been dogged by rumours they were no longer together, especially as they were seen on separate nights out.
On Saturday night Maura downed vodka from the bottle as Love Island pal Chris Taylor poured it into her mouth while partying at a club.
Meanwhile Curtis was out with his co-stars on The Greatest Dancer after filming wrapped just miles away from Maura’s night out.
In an eerie coincidence, Celebs Go Dating star Rob Beckett predicted the couple were finished in the voiceover from last night’s show.

He joked: “For those who don’t know who Curtis Pritchard is, I imagine you’ll meet him on the next series of Celebs Go Dating.”
Maura and Curtis got together after his relationship with Amy Hart broke down in the Love Island villa last summer.
Fans were sceptical at first, accusing Curtis and Maura of “faking their feelings” for a place in the final.
But aside from Tommy and Molly, they were the last remaining stars from the 2019 series still to be in a couple – until last night.
