Nile has vowed to perform a spectacular routine with new moves on the ice

He has entered a three horse race against Towie star Joey Essex and Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher.

But Nile has assured fans he has a few tricks up his sleeve that will help him beat them to the punch.

Nile told HOAR: “We’re gonna bring things that have never been seen on the show before.”

Olivia added: “There’s definitely going to be things that us pro skaters can’t do. He’s the only person who can do that.”

“We’ve got a showcase routine which is a huge production,” Nile continued.

“We’ve got so many tricks and elements, you know the choreography’s really creative and exciting. I want it to be a shock, to the audience and the people watching at home and blow everyone’s minds for sure.

“Obviously I’m incorporating some of my gymnastics in in there, which I’ll let you use your imagination, but there is gymnastic apparatus on ice, not fixed to the ground.”

The ITV show has been criticised in the past over some contestants having a history of dance and performing careers.

Nile previously defended his position in the series, saying: “For me it’s really difficult expressing emotion in a performance because in gymnastics I was creating art with my body, not my face.

“They keep saying, ‘smile with your eyes!’ And I’m like, ‘what the hell does that mean?’

“Because I’m concentrating on what I’m doing, my eyes are wide open, and my mouth.

“So I don’t think it’s necessarily an advantage because being able to tell a story with the music, and to be intimate with the partner, and do a dance and do something with the arms that connect with the feet. That’s been a challenge.”
