I’M A CELEBRITY viewers are already demanding to know where Matt Hancock is after he managed to swerve performing in the first gruelling challenges.

The first 10 campmates landed in the jungle on Sunday night, kicking off a three-week endurance trial which will see creepy crawlies, facing fears and some questionable munch.

Matt Hancock is yet to make his arrival in the I’m A Celebrity camp

However, viewers were disappointed to find out that Matt Hancock was not among the original ten, and instead will be joining later with Seann Walsh as a late addition to camp.

This meant the pair – who have both been involved in kissing scandals that derailed their careers – managed to dodge a skydive, walking the plank hundreds of feet in the air, and dealing with a water challenge to retrieve stars for camp.

Now viewers are even threatening to turn to Ofcom if the former Health Secretary doesn’t turn up soon and take on challenges himself.

“If Matt Hancock gets to just stroll into camp instead of going a task like this I’ll be complaining to Ofcom #ImACeleb,” one wrote.

Another said: “i want to see matt hancock plunge out of a helicopter #ImACeleb“

“Sorry but Matt Hancock should be walking that plank!” added a third.

While a fourth shared a meme of someone eagerly clutching a mobile phone, and joked: “Me waiting for the phone lines to open so that I can vote for Matt Hancock to do every messed up challenge.”

This year’s I’m a Celebrity campers will be trading in their comfy lives and luxuries to brave the elements in Australia’s jungle campsite.

This is the show’s triumphant return to their Gold Coast home after Covid travel restrictions forced them to relocate to Gwyrch Castle, Wales for the past two years.

The original line-up for the series comprises of: Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner, 80s legend Boy George, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Loose Women’s Charlene White, radio DJ Chris Moyles, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, rugby Royal Mike Tindall, England football star Jill Scott, and TV presenter Scarlette Douglas.

They will be joined in a few days time by stand-up comic Seann, and Hancock.

Bushtucker trials will, as always, be voted for by the public for the first half of the series, before the public vote switches to who to vote out of the jungle.

Who will take over the crown from reigning champion, Emmerdale’s Danny Miller?

I’m A Celebrity airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
