I’M A Celebrity viewers have threatened to turn off after being close to vomiting over the latest stomach-churning trial.

Joe Swash, 41, and Dean Gaffney, 45, were tasked with a horrifying eating challenge as they became the latest stars to enter the jungle.

But a blended cow cocktail proved too much for soap actor Dean who ended up spewing.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were in hysterics as they watched the former EastEnders pair faced a challenge called Flipping Disgusting.

They had to drink mashed maggots, shaken cow vagina and other revolting mixes to win treats for their campmates in South Africa.

Introducing the task, host Ant said: “This is possibly the most disgusting piece of television I’ve ever been involved in.

“And we’ve done some disgusting things.”

But fans feared show bosses had gone too far as they gagged watching the trial.

“I think I’m actually gonna be sick myself,” said one.

Another moaned: “Watching people being sick is now classed as entertainment.”

Someone else claimed: “Ah it’s making me feel sick – I can’t watch.”

Joe was crowned King Of The Jungle in 2008 following a stint in Australia, while Dean had finished in fifth place two years earlier.

The pre-recorded I’m A Celebrity South Africa continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
