I’M A Celeb’s Charlene White snapped at Ant McPartlin before breaking down in tears and quitting her Bushtucker trial.
The ITV News reader and Boy George took on the Watery Grave this evening.
Before heading underground, Charlene told hosts Ant and Dec that the Trial was probably her “worst nightmare”.
Ant went on to explain what the pair had to do: “You both need to climb down inside these tombs and work together to release 11 stars.
“The person in the first tomb will move a magnet to move the stars around the maze and through to the second tomb.
“The celebrity in there will need to work the stars around their maze until they can be released.
“Once you get a star, get it in your star bag. Only stars in your star bag at the end of time will count.”
While Boy George seemed at one with what he was doing, Charlene asked him to talk her through it to make sure she didn’t “absolutely freak out”.
Eels, water spiders and mud crabs were soon added to their tombs.
A scared Charlene admitted: “I’m not sure I can do this. I can’t even step in the water George, currently.”
When Ant told her that her time was ticking, she snapped back: “I know that Anthony!”
The pressure got too much for Charlene and she shouted the dreaded words – “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”
When Charlene and Boy George reunited he gave her a hug.
Charlene explained: “I was fine up until something else fell on me and I was like, ‘I can’t.’ I think I panicked. I got my head around it and then something else came and I crumbled.”
She added: “I’m really disappointed in myself and disappointed for camp.”
Ant said: “Camp will be very understanding.”
Boy George noted: “If they’re not, so what?”
Viewers watching at home weren’t shocked that Charlene quit the trial.
