I’M A Celeb viewers were left confused when it was revealed Sue Cleaver will be ruled out of tonight’s eating trial.
The actress, who plays Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street, is the only famous face exempt from La Cucaracha Cafe.
During Thursday’s instalment of the hit show, Ant and Dec returned to camp at the end of the episode to tell the stars who will be taking part.
The Geordie duo revealed that it will be Matt Hancock and Boy George.
However some fans were left scratching their heads as to why Sue can’t take part.
Many took to Twitter to discuss.
One said: “Since when did a celeb get exclude md from the eating trial?! Easy money Sue Cleaver! #ImACeleb #easymoney #why.”
Another wrote: “#ImACeleb how is #sue exempt from an eating challenge??”
A third added: “So now Sue is exempt from an eating trial??? But George, a VEGAN, isn’t???? Why???? #ImACeleb Give us reasons!!!”
A fourth chimed in: “Can sue actually do any trials?”
However others have pointed out it’s probably due to her health.
Sue has Type 2 diabetes.
Another tweeted: “She’s diabetic. I think that’s a valid reason.”
“It must be a medical exception rather than dietary. I know they modified the trial for Beverley collard I think she was vegan x,” a sixth replied.
Earlier this week viewers spotted a ‘mystery patch’ on Sue’s arm.
Within the first five minutes of Wednesday evening’s show, fans pointed out a patch on the Sue‘s arm.
It has left viewers divided, with one asking if anyone saw the nicotine patch on her arm.
They said on Twitter: “Anyone else notice Sue’s anti smoking patch? #ImACeleb.”
However another pointed out that it’s likely to be a dexcom, which is a diabetic patch as Sue has diabetes.
They replied to their tweet with: “i think its a dexcom.”
Sue Cleaver has Type 2 diabetes – which is when your pancreas makes insulin that does not work properly, or your pancreas cannot make enough insulin.
Insulin is a hormone that is released by the pancreas to regulate our blood sugar levels.
If there is not enough insulin being produced, or the insulin your body makes does not work properly, your blood sugar levels rise.
