I’M A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has been axed again tonight after Storm Arwen forced the show off air and ravaged the set.

The ITV reality series was thrown into chaos at the weekend, when it was sensationally cancelled for two days.

And now bosses have made the tough decision not to air tonight’s show as they can’t win the battle against the UK’s ferocious weather.

Matthew Wright confirmed the news on today’s This Morning – revealing the crew are still unable to work in the tents around the castle as he described the area as looking like Glastonbury.

The celebrity contestants were evacuated from the castle on Saturday evening and returned to quarantine while producers tried to salvage the damage caused to set.

ITV confirmed in a statement at the time: “Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle.”

They’d planned for the campmates to return to the castle once the show’s entire production was safely re-established, with the quarantine conditions for the celebs the same as they were before they joined the show.

The production area for I’m A Celeb was previously described as “looking like a bomb has hit it”, with “terrified” crew almost blown off their feet.

Pictures showed marquees ripped to shreds, and roofs and canopies ripped from structures after gales ravaged the location.

While bosses were sure to take extra precautions to keep their celebrity campmates safe, the surrounding area was devastated by the weather.

They had to axe Saturday and Sunday night’s episodes and instead aired compilations of best moments from the past 19 years of the show.

However, the decision “backfired” according to fans – who claimed the best bits special only served as a reminder of how much “better” I’m A Celeb was in the Aussie jungle.

They took to social media to urge producers to keep the show off air until travel restrictions are eased and they are able to fly Down Under and shoot in the Australian sunshine again.
