I’M A CELEBRITY is set to return to screens tonight, but show bosses are facing a race against time as the stars are STILL not back in the castle.

ITV announced the reality series would air once again this evening after it was forced off air over the weekend due to bad weather.

I’m A Celebrity campmates are still not back in the Welsh castle

Storm Arwen caused a 48-hour blackout and extensive damage to the Welsh set, meaning the celebrities were evacuated from the premises.

But sources tell HOAR that the stars still haven’t returned to camp to resume filming.

The inside revealed: “It’s a real race against time to get the castle and the set ready for tonight – it’s all hands on deck at the castle.”

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly earlier revealed the horrors that unfolded on the set of the show last week.

Speaking from Ant’s cottage in North Wales the pair said they were “just gutted” after their show was cancelled for the first time in its history.

They added that the high winds ripped up the production team’s marquees and tents – with Gwrych Castle itself the only building unaffected.

Dec told This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “The wind had destroyed the tent base. The site was unsafe.

“No one was allowed back on the site. We had no choice but to pull he show. We were just gutted.

“We had to put the celebs back in to quarantine. It’s been a huge upheaval of a week.”

Ant went on to praise the show’s production team, saying: “They worked round the clock.

“The castle is the one thing that’s absolutely fine. The only reason we took the celebrities out because it was just mean to leave them.

They have no phones, no internet and are cut off from the rest of the world – just how we like it.”

The celebs are sure in for a shock as the set has been hit by 12 hours of rain and freezing temperatures as low as 4C in the last 24hours.

HOAR revealed that the series will be making a comeback tonight, meaning the crew have had to work around the clock to get the site up and running again.

While the camp was badly affected by the storms brutal winds and icy temperatures, an inspection of Gwrych Castle miraculously revealed it suffered no damage.

ITV bosses confirmed: “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will return from tomorrow night (Tuesday 30th November) on ITV and ITV Hub with a brand new show.

“Ant & Dec will be back presenting live from the Castle.”
