AN I’m a Celebrity superfan has proudly unveiled his new tattoo of Ant and Dec at Gwrych Castle.

Phil Norval, from Rhyl, got the Geordie pair’s faces etched into the back of his thigh to celebrate the show filming in Wales for the first time.

The tattoo was designed by his nephew and an artist in Abergele took three hours to draw it on his leg.

He admitted it was the “most painful” tattoo he’s ever had done – but he’s hoping his favourite TV presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be impressed by his efforts.

Phil, 47, told ITV news: “I’ve always been a big fan of Ant and Dec and I love all their shows so I was really excited to hear I’m a Celebrity was coming to North Wales.

“I thought I may as well get a tattoo to mark the occasion as it might never happen again.

“I spoke to my nephew, Mike about having something done and he came up with a design for me.

“I had it done on the back of my leg – it was probably one of the most painful ones in the middle of my thigh.”

He added: “I am covered in tattoos, I’ve got around 20 of them including ET and Finding Nemo but this one is probably the most random – it’s totally different.

“I’m really pleased with it but no one knows about it yet.

“I’m hoping Ant and Dec get to hear about it.”

In 2017 Ant and Dec met with a superfan who got their faces tattooed on each of his bum cheeks.

The Saturday Night Takeaway hosts looked a little unnerved by the tattoo, which shows the pair of them sharing a piece of spaghetti.

They captioned the picture on Instagram: “Oh god!! The day finally came where we met the tattoo guy!!”

Lee later said: “No, they didn’t sign it – they were busy boys today. They found it very funny.”
