SHAKEN Arlene Phillips says she has heard soldiers talking and children running through corridors.

Former Strictly judge Arlene, 78, has previously said she is not spiritual
But Gwyrch Castle is said to be haunted by a lady in white, thought to be the Countess of Dundonald, and her vengeful husband who rages that he failed to inherit the castle on her death in 1924

A source said: “All the campmates have found the castle to be creepy at times.

“But Arlene seems to have been much more unnerved by unusual happenings, especially at night.

“She has told the other celebrities about the soldiers and children.

“This was part of the reason she was considering leaving during the first week when she was staying in The Clink.

“The details may not have meant much for the campmates but many of the crew know the castle’s history — and as a result have been quite freaked out by what she believes she heard.”
