I’M A Celebrity’s Giovanna Fletcher admitted she might have “fallen in love” with Kate Middleton after her dream interview with the Duchess of Cambridge.
Earlier this year Kate made her podcast debut on Giovanna’s Happy Mum Happy Baby, with the pair exchanging experiences and stories of motherhood.
Tonight Giovanna impressed campmate Shane Richie with details of the high-profile interview.
The pair hit it off so well that their scheduled 45 minute interview turned into 90 minutes of free-flowing conversation.
Talking in the Telegraph, Giovanna said: “What a complete career high, just two mums nattering away but in true mum fashion by the end we were drinking cold tea.”
Shane was stunned with yet another campmate having a royal connection, after Ruthie Henshall revealed she had got very close to Prince Edward.
However, in the Telegraph, he told viewers he enjoyed a little flirt with Princess Diana back in the 90s.
Giovanna then said to Shane: “I would call her Kate Middleton before (the interview), but they all call her Katherine or The Duchess. So now, I’m kinda like ‘the Duchess, or Katherine’.”
She then smiled and said: “I might have fallen in love.”
While the actor replied: “Girl crush.”
Last night’s show was particularly tough for Giovanna as she missed out on a special treat from home, leaving her in tears.
The mum-of-three is desperately missing her young boys Buzz, Buddy and Max, who are at home with husband Tom Fletcher.
The 35-year-old McFly star looked emotional as he reacted to the scenes on Instagram, admitting that it was the “hardest thing” he’s had to watch so far.
