I’M A Celebrity’s Matt Hancock has banked £400,000 for signing up – but it’s not the biggest pay packet on the ITV show.

I’m A Celeb bosses has always dug deep in a bid to attract huge stars into the jungle camp.

Matt Hancock, former cabinet minster, netted a huge sum to join I’m A Celebrity

Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley (200k), fashion guru Susannah Constantine (£200k) and the former Prime Minister’s father, Stanley Johnson (£200k) all netted six figure sums and still didn’t make it into the top ten earners.

1. Noel Edmonds – £600k

Noel Edmonds is the all time top – and he was only in the show for a week.

The undisputed King of the Jungle in terms of pay is Noel, who bagged £600,000 as a late addition to the 2018 cast.

Noel Edmonds has received the highest pay of any celeb to go on the show so far with a massive £600,000 fee

But despite receiving £100,000 more than series winner Harry Redknapp, Edmonds failed to win over the public and was the first to be voted out of the camp.

His early exit meant that he earned £2,272 AN HOUR for his time on the show.

Campmates and producers were said to have been left shocked by the TV legend’s departure.

2. Caitlyn Jenner – £500,000

Caitlyn Jenner matched Redknapp’s mind-boggling fee when she went into the jungle in 2019.

Caitlyn Jenner was covered in bugs during trials – but there were no flies on her when it came to her appearance fee

It was actually her second I’m a Celeb appearance, having taken part in the US version of the show back in 2003.

Caitlyn had an awkward exit from the UK series when none of her famous family flew out to Australia to greet her when she was evicted after 20 days in the camp.

Supermodel Kendall and billionaire Kylie did fork out on some “welcome home” balloons for Jenner when she arrived back in the States, however.

3. Harry Redknapp – £500, 000

The manager has been in charge of such teams as West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers during his sporting career but turned his hand to reality television in 2018.

Harry proved to be the most popular celebrity to ever go on the programme

He went on to be named the most popular contestant of all time by bookies, with over 53 per cent of all betting slips placed that series fancying Redknapp to win.

But despite his staggering popularity, he thought he wouldn’t last very long in the camp.

“I’m amazed I survived three weeks to be honest with you,” Harry, 75, said after his victory.

“When I first came in, I looked and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m in trouble here.’

“I looked at the group and I thought, they don’t really know or are interested in anything I’m interested in.”

4. Boy George – £500,000

Boy George will be the highest-paid campmate to appear in this year’s series.

The popular music star reportedly secured a £500,000 appearance fee.

George, 61, rose to fame in the 80s with the band Culture Club as its lead singer.

Due to his continuous success, he is now worth a staggering £43.8 million.

5. Ian Wright – £400,000

Former Arsenal ace Ian Wright also had a major score with his £400,000 pay for his stint in the jungle in last year’s series.

The 59-year-old was given the boot after 18 days at the camp – where he memorably clashed with comedian Andrew Maxwell.

When offered another portion of crocodile feet and spinach, Wright snapped: “I said I don’t want no more f**king crocodile, bruv.”

The football star’s premier pay for doing the show was said to help him pay off looming multi-million pound tax debts.

Writing in his autobiography, Ian detailed how a “wave of financial advisers” in the 1990s left a “whole generation of footballers” in tax debt.

“The fact that it was bad advice and probably some financial skulduggery is not their concern,” he added.

“They want to get paid and my name is on the bill.”

6. Amir Khan – £400,000

Boxing legend Amir Khan delivered a knockout blow to the programme’s pay record when he scooped an eye-watering £400,000 to go on the show in 2017.

The 35-year-old athlete’s pay eclipsed the previous record, which was thought to have been given to Katie Price.

Amir Khan was probably as proud as punch with his £400,000 fee

Amir made it through six rounds of public eliminations before being voted out of the jungle on day 20.

He’s set to make a reality TV return in his own BBC3 series with his family called Meet the Khans: Big in Bolton.

Just days after Khan announced the show, cops were called to his £1.5million family home to investigate whether a man was behaving aggressively.

Khan’s spokesperson said no offence had been committed.

7 Matt Hancock – £400,000

Matt Hancock will be making a staggering sum from his stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

HOAR revealed how former Health Secretary is one of two latecomers to join the ITV hit.

Insiders told HOAR how the Conservative MP had landed a payday worth around £400,000 to take part in the ITV series – sparking fury among his critics.

The politician is thought to be donating a slice of the cash to a charity in his West Suffolk constituency.

8. Katie Price – £350,000

Katie’s celebrity status went stratospheric when she started a relationship with Peter Andre in the third series of I’m a Celeb back in 2004.

But it was her second stint in the jungle in 2009 that made her the big money.

Katie Price reportedly set the record with her £350,000 fee for her second stint Down Under

Her fee was a whopping £350,000, The Mirror reports.

Despite the hefty pay day, she decided to walk after just nine days.

“It’s not about the money,” katie, 44, told The Mail On Sunday shortly after leaving.

“I didn’t come back here for that. I really miss my kids.”

9. Nadine Coyle – £250,000

Ex-Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle also trousered £250,000 when she went Down Under last year.

The 37-year-old singer was allegedly cast in the hope that she’d spill the beans on the reasons behind her falling out with her former band.

Nadine had recently split from her long-term on/off partner Jason Bell before her appearance on the programme.

10. Jennie McAlpine

Coronation Street legend Jennie McAlpine netted a quarter of a million pounds, MEN reports.

The 38-year-old actress, who plays Fiz Brown in Corrie, went on to claim fourth place in the 2017 series.

Jennie said lots of her fellow campmates got ill when they returned home because they gorged on too much food after weeks of hunger.

But a bit of over-indulgence is probably to be expected when you’ve made that much moolah in just three weeks.

The line-up for 2022 is the wealthiest yet with a combined fortune of over £76million.
