JAMES Haskell has explained why he opted to greet Caitlyn Jenner after her exit from the Im A Celeb jungle.
The US reality star wasnt greeted by any of the Kardashian / Jenner clan after being voted out earlier this week.
Instead, campmate James Haskell was the one to greet Caitlyn as she traversed the bridge over the treetops on Friday night.
James, 34, took to Instagram to gush over the 70-year-old former Olympian.
“Such an amazing campmate, he told his 440k followers.
I am glad I could repay her for all her kindness and support when I was in the jungle.
“It was really important to me she had someone there. Its crazy when you come out!”
Stars of the series are generally met by their nearest and dearest for an emotional reunion, but none of Caitlyns relatives or friends opted to make the trip to Australia.
It has since emerged that daughter Kendall and Kylie jetted off on holiday instead of supporting their parent.
Kylie has been posting pics from her ski trip, while Kendall has been snapped frolicking around on a yacht.
However, Caitylns close pal Sophia Hitchins did fly Down Under, but didnt land in time for her jungle exit.
Instead she met her back at her hotel room and the pair have since been spotted relaxing together on the beach.
In her emotional exit interview, Caitlyn admitted she was proud to have lasted as long in the competition as she did.
I came here to test myself. I did the show 16 years ago, I turned 70 and thought what a challenge, she told Ant and Dec.
“I knew it wasnt going to be easy. First night I didnt think I would make it to the next night, but I met some of the greatest people, there wasn’t one person causing a problem.
“I couldnt believe I made it to three weeks. I am ready to get out.
Im A Celeb concludes tonight on ITV at 9pm.
