I’M A Celebrity’s Snoochie Shy has revealed what happened to Richard Madeley when he was struck down by a “medical emergency” in camp.

The Radio 1 Xtra DJ said the celebrities were all “very, very worried” when the telly legend was rushed to A&E in the early house after falling ill in the night.

Speaking after becoming the fourth celeb to leave, Snoochie said producers bundled the stars out the bedroom so medics could attend to Richard

Richard, 65, was forced to quit the show just a few hours after joining Main Camp inside Gwrych Castle from medieval prison The Clink.

Bosses would not allow him to re-enter despite getting a clean bill of health because he had left the show’s Covid bubble.

Speaking after becoming the fourth celeb to leave, Snoochie said producers bundled the stars out the bedroom so medics could attend to Richard.

Snoochie, 29, said: “In the middle of night, he just got ill, and then we was all told to just go to the campfire room, and then he just left, really.

“I think we was definitely worried. Obviously, he’s our camp mate. And I know that obviously he was at The Clink so we only had, in the main camp, 24 hours of him.

“But you bond with people very quickly. So of course, we was very, very worried, that we didn’t know what was going on.

“But then when we got the video message from him, I’m pretty sure the majority of us cried.

“But he seemed like he was in good spirits, as well. So it was really nice to have that video message, just because we had been worrying a lot.

“It’s man like Rich. That’s what I used to call him, man like Rich. When we saw this guy, he was just really nice, and it made us feel good to know that he was all right.”

Richard left camp on November 25 and spoke for the first time about his ordeal the next day.

The Good Morning Britain host said: “I feel as fit as a fiddle and I am fit as a fiddle.”

Snoochie said being in camp with showbiz legends like Richard was “surreal”.

She added: “Frankie, the other day, started singing Puppy Love, and I was just like,

‘Jesus Christ. I had your CD, at my mum’s house. I used to listen to S Club Juniors. So this is so weird’.

“That was surreal. Then we’ve got Si in there, who plays Steve in Corrie. Obviously, Adam, Ian Beale.

“Me and Adam actually got on really well. He was like my BFF in there, I’m going to take him to a rap concert, and he wants to take me to a musical.

“But it was definitely really surreal being around people that I’ve seen on the telly, and stuff.”
