ANT McPartlin has made a subtle dig at this year’s I’m A Celebrity cast after the eviction of Boy George, suggesting they are ‘lazy’.

The presenter was left fuming after one of his favourite campmates was voted off the long-running endurance show and taking to social media, he struggled to hide his disappointment.

The Newcastle native seemed to make a subtle dig at the surviving cast of the 2022 series as he compared George’s antics in the jungle to those of the rest of camp.

The 47-year-old said on and Dec’s instagram live after the show: “I think it’s easy to say, oh, he stirs things up, oh, he did this, but at least he does stuff down there!”

Ant added: “He is a bit controversial, at least he had a word about people, he made me laugh”

Music icon Boy George was the fourth celeb voted out of the jungle after ITV newsreader Charlene White, TV presenter Scarlette Douglas and Corrie actress Sue Cleaver left camp.

Once Boy George left the studio and the tv credits rolled, Ant and Dec couldn’t help but rage at viewers at home.

Dec exclaimed: “We love BG!, whilst a sulking Ant bemoaned: “We love Boy George!”.

Dec added: “Sad times guys!”.

But Ant was only just getting started as he was handed over the phone for the intimate live chat with Instagram fans.

Still fuming on the studio set in Australia, Ant replied: “I’m just annoyed, what a god damn shame, I really, really enjoyed Boy George in there, I thought he was really good fun!”

Dec explained: “He was at the centre for a lot of the fun and conversation, in camp.”

But things took a turn when Ant started to look as though he was working himself up into a full on rant.

Ant then shouted at the online audience: “What were you thinking man!, Why did you do that!?” as he banged his fists across the wooden rainforest table set.

Despite Dec insisting the situation was difficult, Ant was having none of his TV partner’s commiserations.

Dec added: “I am gutted” whilst Ant teased his presenting partner for not speaking up sooner.

This comes as fans were left in shock after Boy George was the fourth campmate to be booted off the show as Ant and Dec announced the public vote.

Boy George described his experience as “a big challenge” whilst speaking to the Geordie duo.

The singer, 61, landed in the bottom two alongside Chris Moyles but received the lowest public votes to be sent home.

Speaking afterwards, George said: “I am sort of ready. I’ve had an amazing time I did a lot of things I never thought i would do. I’m sort of excited to see my sister.

“I’ve never done anything like this. [missed bit] seeing myself, it’s horrifying.”
