AN INTERNATIONAL spiritual medium believes that I’m A Celebrity’s Arlene Phillips DID see ghosts in Gwrych Castle.

It comes after the Strictly star, 78, confessed that she had heard soldiers talking and children running through corridors of the 200-year-old Grade I-listed country house that is said to be haunted.

I’m A Celeb star Arlene Phillips said she heard ghosts in the castle
Gwrych Castle, located in Conwy, North Wales, is said to be haunted

Bev Mann, who has been developing her own spiritual gifts for over twenty years, thinks that the choreographer is more than capable of connecting with the paranormal, despite previously saying she’s not spiritual.

Speaking about Arlene’s claims, the expert tarot and intuitive card reader said: “I believe that when there is a lot of sadness around a place/home the negative energy that was created in it over time will continue to exist.

“And as the folklore and beliefs grow with the negativity of the place then people will bring more fear and anxiety into the place thereby echoing the negative/scary feeling…

“Although Arlene is not ‘spiritually minded’ it doesn’t mean she is not capable of connecting in with the spirit/energy that still resides there.

“Ordinary people will be able to connect in with the negative energy left by the children who received such awful sad news.

“Basically what happened here left a very sad and fearful imprint by the poor souls of the children affected.

“Emotions are energy and now attached to the area.”

Last week the Sun Online exclusively revealed Arlene’s shocking claims.

Crew were left gobsmacked as the castle was used as a home to Jewish refugee children fleeing the Nazis in World War Two.

A source told us: “All the campmates have found the castle to be creepy at times.

“But Arlene seems to have been much more unnerved by unusual happenings, especially at night.

“She has told the other celebrities about the soldiers and children.

“This was part of the reason she was considering leaving during the first week when she was staying in The Clink.

“The details may not have meant much for the campmates but many of the crew know the castle’s history — and as a result have been quite freaked out by what she believes she heard.”

Gwyrch Castle is said to be haunted by a lady in white, thought to be the Countess of Dundonald, and her vengeful husband who rages that he failed to inherit the castle on her death in 1924.

Up to 300 Jewish children sent there in 1939 later found out their parents had been killed in Nazi concentration camps, insiders say.

The source added: “Much of the castle’s dark history still feels very present to those who’ve been inside.

“Even sceptics might find it odd that Arlene’s claims chime with events here decades ago.”

Arlene was the first celeb to be booted off the ITV show this year.

Viewers were left fuming with the decision and put it down to her age.

Kadeena Cox and Snoochie Shy also received the fewest votes this week and were second and third to leave the castle.
