I’M A Celebrity’s David Ginola shared a tense moment with Ant and Dec last night.

The football legend, 54, hit back after they suggested he deserved a yellow card, with the cheeky pair saying he wanted to hit them.

Dec Donnelly poked fun at how former Newcastle legend David failed to stay on his feet during the Celebrity Cyclone challenge.

He told him good-naturedly last night: “You went down a bit easily. A bit of a yellow card for simulation.”

Not smiling, David replied: “You have been very nasty with me. I know who you are now.”

After he had gone, Ant McPartlin, 46, told pal Dec: “He’s not happy. Not happy at all. He’s going to knock you out.”

One viewer posted on Twitter: “I can just imagine David sizing up to @antanddec for a fight!”

However, if there was any bad feeling it was short-lived, with him giving the pair the ultimate compliment after viewers decided they’d seen enough of him.

David called them “legends”, the same word they had used to describe him throughout the show, after it was revealed he would be leaving last night.

French footballer David joined Ant and Dec’s team Newcastle United in 1995 when manager Kevin Keegan was turning the club into a resurgent Premier League force.

The club went on to finish second in the league in its best performance for decades.

Speaking about his journey after getting evicted he said being on the show was like a “second adoption” by the British public after his welcome to Newcastle.

Talking about camp he said: “It surprised me in a good way and a bad way because obviously it was really really hard.

“The conditions we were living in were very complicated. The food, the sleep, the lack of everything actually.

“But I kept some positive things in my mind, thinking: ‘I’m going to get out of the castle full of love for the people I love very much.’

“I can’t wait to get close to them because it’s a hell of a journey.”

I’m A Celeb viewers will now see Danny Miller, Frankie Bridge and Simon Gregson compete for the I’m A Celeb crown tonight on ITV at 9pm.

However, there have been murmurings of a fix from some corners of Twitter, with some saying the channel is keen for Frankie to win.

One wrote: “Another tweeted: “Someone pointed out the show is pushing Frankie to win and it’s a fix and I can’t help but notice how obvious it is.”
