I’M A CELEB star Charlene White isn’t just a celebrated news anchor – she’s a dedicated mother and daughter beyond the screen.

The ITV news star, who also presents Loose Women, has recently graced our screens to compete on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! but she is more than just a talented news presenter.

Charlene, who is from Greenwich in South London, is in a long term relationship with partner Andy, who she shares two children with.

Her children, Alfie, three, and Florence, one and the rest of the family live together in South London.

The star is undeniably close with her children, often taking to social media to share adorable snaps of her family life.

Since entering the jungle, Charlene’s sister and cousin, who are taking over her social media, have shared Charlene’s commitment to her children despite being down under.

Upon announcing her entering the jungle, Charlene’s sister and cousin posted a video message from Charlene with the heartfelt caption: “Hey Guys!! This has got to be the worst kept secret since images of her in Australia emerged last week ? but it’s official, Charlene is part of this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

“The show starts this Sunday 6th November at 9pm, so hope everyone will tune in and watch her on the show!

“So for the next 3 weeks myself (Charlene’s sister) @_carinawh and her cousin @cocobexy_xx will be running her social accounts and bringing you all the updates from her time in the jungle as well as loads of content she recorded before she left.

“This is gonna be fun…let’s go!!!!?? #ImACeleb”

Taking to Instagram, Charlene’s temporary social media team shared an adorable picture of her children holding hands with the caption: “So who saw Charlene crying last night? We just wanted to jump through the tv and hug her.

“Before she left she made this countdown calendar for Alfie and Florence so they can mark off each day until Char comes home.

“Keep going Char, we are so proud of you! ??

The mum-of-two was recently praised for not only being a panellist for the first all-black panel on Loose women, but for being the first black woman to present the news at ten and has notoriously juggled being a successful news anchor whilst being a working mum, even bringing her two children along to a shoot with The sun.

Charlene has also previously shared her experience with losing a loved one to bowel cancer, after her mum passed at just 47 due to the disease.

The star, who was just 16 when her mum Dorette was diagnosed, recalled whilst talking to the Daily Mail : “She told me she was sick while we were cooking one Sunday. She said, ‘I have to start having some treatment.

“They found some blood in my stool but it’s nothing to worry about.

“Looking back, she and Dad protected us from the worst but never hid the truth. I think she knew she wasn’t going to make it. Almost from the day she told us, she started teaching me how to cook the family meals.”

Charlene is now a patron of the charity Bowel Cancer UK and continues to open up about her mother’s story in hopes it will “open up the conversation a little bit more”.
