I’M A CELEBRITY has been on our screens for 20 years and fans are loving the new series more than ever.
The 2022 series edition is the show’s 22nd instalment – but how much of it is filmed live?

All episodes of I’m A Celebrity…. Get Me Out of Here are usually filmed live from the studio by presenters Ant and Dec at 9pm UK Time.
As the time difference between the UK and Australia is 11 hours, our favourite Geordie duo present in the early hours of the morning.
Aside from live trials and the final, most of the content is pre-recorded from the previous day and is shown to viewers after it has happened.
Over the years, Ant and Dec’s hilarious links and gags during links have become a staple of the show.
It has produced iconic sketches including Dec’s ironic quips at Denis Wise as a “very small man,” or Ant’s long running Celebrity MasterChef jokes.
However, it doesn’t always go to plan.
For example, during the live episode on Tuesday, 8, 2022, viewers were left in stitches after the camera failed to cut away after their segment.
The pair were caught unaware when the camera remained on the hosting duo instead of cutting to the campmates.
But as always Ant and Dec continued smiling even though they weren’t supposed to be on air.
Where is I’m A Celebrity 2022?
Despite a two year hiatus in Wales, the 2022 edition of I’m A Celebrity returned to Australia and is filmed in the Springbrook National Park in Murwillumbah, New South Wales.
The camp where the celebrities sleep and eat is in Dungay Creek.
The entrance to this filming location is a large area of buildings including on-site medical facilities, containers for the storage of props, and other backstage facilities.
The families and friends of the campmates are housed here each morning during evictions.
From this area, a restricted access road climbs to the site of the studios, where Ant and Dec host the show.
On what days does I’m A Celebrity air on ITV?
I’m A Celebrity usually airs at 9pm every day on ITV.
The new series began on the Sunday November 6 and viewers can expect the 2022 edition to run for around three weeks.
