CAROLINE Flack looked worlds away from her tearful court appearance as she stepped out with friends earlier today.

The TV presenter was pictured laughing and joking with two female pals as she enjoyed some retail therapy in East London on Christmas Eve.

Appearing to be in much better spirits than she was yesterday, Caroline clutched a large Costa coffee as she attempted to shake off her recent dramas.

The 40-year-old star was dressed casually for her shopping trip, opting for a pair of ripped jeans, a black shirt and matching coat.

She accessorised her look with a pair of Nike trainers, a black beanie and sunglasses as she strolled along the pavement flanked by her two friends.

At one point, the trio stopped to go inside a book shop where Caroline was pictured looking at a book about psychology.

Perhaps the Love Island host was thinking about treating herself to a Christmas present to cheer herself up following her court appearance yesterday.

The TV star was said to be tearful at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court where she was accused of assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, in his sleep after finding texts from a woman on his phone.

Cops found the couple covered in blood “like a horror movie” after she attacked him over fears he was cheating on her, the court heard.

Prosecutors alleged she left him with a significant head injury at her North London home on December 12.

Reports claimed that Caroline hit her boyfriend with a lamp while he was sleeping – something that Lewis has since denied.

The couple were hoping to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve together, but Caroline’s hopes were dashed when a bail condition banning her from talking to Lewis was kept in place, meaning the couple will have to spend Christmas apart.

Moments after leaving court, the former X Factor host thanked her fans for their support on her Instagram story.

She wrote: “Thankfully I know a lot of you will not believe all that you have heard and read following today’s court hearing … thank you for your continued support and love….
“It’s going to be a relief when I am able to give my side of the story, when I’m allowed to x.”

It’s unsure where Caroline will be spending Christmas, but her plans for the New Year have changed dramatically now that she won’t be jetting off to South Africa for the first winter series of Love Island.

Instead, the show will he hosted by her pal and fellow TV presenter Laura Whitmore while Caroline awaits her next trial date.
