LOVE Island’s Dani Dyer “cried” during her Our Girl audition for a role which ended up going to Corrie actress Michelle Keegan.
Dani, 24, auditioned for the role of a life time only for “nerves” to sabotage her on the day.
“I cried in the room. I was like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’,” Dani told The Mirror.
“I was running an hour late and sweating. The nerves get on top of you.”
“It is just this authority looking at you and you want this role so bad.”
The actress shot to fame after winning ITV2’s Love Island in 2018, but before then had failed to hit the big time in her acting career.
Dani said she planned to audition her scene as more serious, but lost it when the casting agent wanted her to do it comically.
She admitted: “The speech we had to prepare was deep but she wanted it quite comical. I tried and I just cried.”
The daughter of outgoing EastEnders‘ star Danny Dyer, eventually landed a sweet gig on the BBC One military drama.
The Sun Online revealed she recently broke up with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence following a series of blazing rows.
Dani deleted all the photos of them from her Instagram and blocked Sammy from following her.
A source said: “Dani was besotted with Sammy and they were madly in love but recently their relationship has become more like a nightmare.
“And over a period of weeks tensions between Dani and Sammy reached boiling point.”
Thankfully, Dani had family who knew exactly how to cheer her up after their nasty split.
Her nan and Bruv (granddad) took her down to their local pub for a cheeky pint.
“Nan took me for one beer and now I couldn’t happily sit down the pub all day (sic). Wearing my babe lashes @sosu_bysuzannejackson,” shared Dani alongside a picture of her relaxing in a chair, bottle in frame.
Dani won Love Island in 2018 with Jack Fincham but their love did not last long.
Jack, 28, shocked fans – and Dani – when he announced he had become a dad to baby Blossom with a friend earlier this year.
