MAURA Higgins yesterday had an emotional meeting with her Dancing On Ice partner Alexander Demetriou.

The pair were seen sharing coffee the day after she revealed her split from Love Island boyfriend Curtis Pritchard following seven months together.

An onlooker saw them sitting together at the Riverside centre in Chelmsford, a short drive from the star’s Essex home.

The source explained: “Maura seemed upset and was deep in conversation with Alex over coffees in the cafe.

“It’s an unlikely place to see a star, but there is an ice-skating rink there so I imagine they were there for a skate.”

Maura looked close to tears today as she left the same Essex venue on her phone and got into a waiting car.

The Sun revealed last month Alexander’s wife Carlotta Edwards, who is also a pro on the show, was upset that her husband appeared smitten with the former Love Island beauty.

However, Curtis insisted that he “wasn’t worried” in any way about their relationship, with Maura explaining his work as a dancer meant he understood.

He said: “I’m from a performing background and you need to have a good connection with your dance partner.”

Maura was eliminated from Dancing On Ice in February, becoming the sixth celebrity to leave the show after being beaten in the skate-off by Libby Clegg.

Curtis and Maura were yesterday seen looking miserable after their split as they were seen separately in London.

But being single opens up more job opportunities, with The Sun Online reveling today that Celebs Go Dating bosses have their sights set on signing her for the next series.

The 29-year-old Dancing On Ice star admitted on Monday night that their seven-month relationship was over, telling fans that they “couldn’t make it work”.

Maura stared down towards the pavement looking miserable as she walked to her car the morning after the announcement.

Meanwhile, Curtis was seen looking downcast in London as he took a break from rehearsals for his AJ Live dance tour.
The Sun Online revealed yesterday that Curtis has grown close to a gorgeous blonde dancer who performs on the show.

Former grid girl Maura announced their relationship had ended on Monday night, writing: “Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.

“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.

“There is no easy way to get through a break-up and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.”

She signed off with a large emoji of a broken heart.

Maura and 24-year-old Curtis had long been dogged by rumours they were no longer together, especially as they were seen on separate nights out despite being only a few miles apart.

On Saturday night Maura downed vodka from the bottle as Love Island pal Chris Taylor poured it into her mouth while partying at a club.

Meanwhile Curtis was out with his co-stars on The Greatest Dancer after filming wrapped just miles away from Maura’s night out.
