Emotional Olly Murs remembers Caroline Flack as he watches old videos of them together

OLLY Murs has taken to Instagram to share emotional memories of his friendship with the late Caroline Flack.

The pair were good friends for years and their chemistry and are-they-aren’t-they friendship had fans falling in love with them as they hosted The Xtra Factor and later the main X Factor series.

On Thursday, Olly – who has been battling boredom during lockdown – took to Instagram to share a compilation video of their entrances on to the ITV competition show.

“Oh my god these Entrances,” he wrote, “just sat in bed this morning watching old clips.. wow I remember this was our favourite part of the show every week and it just made me laugh so much & smile Caz!”

“Thinking of ya,” he concluded.

Caroline died on 15 February, a day after she learned that the CPS was pursuing charges that she allegedly attacked her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, with a lamp.

Caroline was buried last month in an enchanting forest close to where she grew up, her family revealed.

The presenter’s mum, Christine, said the ceremony was near their home in Norfolk as they had wanted to “bring her back home”.

More than 200 loved ones travelled from across the world and spent two hours remembering the star at GreenAcres, the ceremonial park set in 16 acres of woodland at Colney, Norwich. Family and friends then held a wake in local pub The Black Horse.

Her funeral service included two moving live performances from West End and X Factor star Lucie Jones who sang She Used To Be Mine from the musical Waitress.

Close friend Ciara also performed a song called The Sulking Room which was written for ­Caroline.
