LAURA Whitmore has showed off her bump for the first time in a new photoshoot – and revealed she knows her baby’s gender.

Yesterday, the Irish presenter announced on Instagram that she and husband Iain Stirling are going to be parents.

The 35-year-old is glowing in her first pregnancy shoot with Hunger Magazine and modelled an array of bump-flashing looks in the sleek shots.

For the glam photoshoot, Laura slicked back her hair and sported a bold red lip.

In one shot, the pregnant TV star is seen reclining on a chair while cradling her bare bump in her underwear and a denim jacket.

In the accompanying interview, the Winter Love Island host shared that she’s six months into her first pregnancy and has found the whole experience “surreal”.

The TV presenter revealed she knows the gender of her impending arrival

And while discussing her journey to motherhood, Laura explained that the couple found out their impending arrival’s gender “quite early”.

She said: “We found out [the sex] quite early because they can do a test called a Harmony test, which basically looks out for things that could be possibly wrong with your baby and I think, like most expectant parents, we were quite anxious and worried so we did that and they were like ‘do you want to find out the sex’ and it was like ‘what!?’ so we found out quite early.

“For me it wasn’t about the sex, it was just about whether the baby was OK. You constantly have that fear. I think there are a lot of things that are important to keep to yourself.”

Understandable, the star added that she’s “felt very protective” of her bump and suffered terrible sickness during her first trimester, so much so she had to run out of her BBC Radio 5 Live show mid interview.

She said: “I found the first three months really hard because I was very sick and nauseous. There were a few times on live radio where I actually got physically sick during the show.”

The couple, who HOAR revealed had secretly married in Dublin last month, posted a picture of a Guns N Roses babygro on Instagram, with the message: “Coming 2021.”

She wrote: “I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share – and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

“Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It’s been hard to keep such happy news quiet.

“Especially the times when I’ve had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning.

“I wasn’t hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!”

She added: “We’d appreciate our privacy respected but just wanted to spread some love and a reminder of the beauty of life ❤.”

The pair were swiftly congratulated by celebrity pals including Kimberley Walsh, Dermot O’Leary and Angela Scanlon.

Former MTV presenter Laura and Ian, 32, married in a Humanist ceremony at Dublin’s City Hall on 11 November this year.

They married in front of 25 guests – the maximum allowed under Ireland’s level five rules at the time – with Laura’s half-brother Adam and Iain’s sister Kirsten as witnesses.

However, the couple kept their ceremony under wraps after returning to the UK – with the only clue being when Iain flashed a wedding ring on ITV’s Loose Women.

Laura revealed last year that she had suffered a miscarriage after an unplanned pregnancy, finding out when doctors were unable to detect a heartbeat during her 12-week scan.

She Laura went on to say she felt “alone” when dealing with her miscarriage but added that the experience made her realise that she does want children.
