LOVE Island fans are comparing Connor to Joe Goldberg from You after Connagh stole Sophie in the recoupling.

The Islanders were up in arms when Welsh newbie Connagh chose Sophie to couple up with, separating her from Connor.

While Connor was furious about the situation – even labelling his love rival “snakey” – fans are getting increasingly alarmed by his possessive behaviour.

So much so that people are comparing him to the protagonist of Netflix hit You, Joe.

In the show, Joe forms murderous obsessions over women.

But the comparisons came in full force during the truth game – with producers cutting to Connor glaring at Connagh and Sophie every time they answered a question.

One person on Twitter said: “Connor needs to chill he is losing his mind”

Another added: “Connor is giving me Joe from #NetflixYOU vibes”

Connor branded Connagh a snake after he stole Sophie in the recoupling ceremony on Friday.

Speaking by the fire pit, Connagh, 27, said: “So I want to couple up with this girl because I’ve been attracted to this girl in the short time that I’ve been here.

“And she has the personality to go with her looks.
I would like to continue to get to know this person, I don’t want to leave this experience and regret not taking any chances.
“So the girl I want to couple up with is, Sophie.”

Connor was stunned, and when it was turn to choose, he made his feelings clear.

He said: “I’ve found myself in this situation, I feel like I’ve been snaked out a little bit.

“People have been dishonest. But yeah, I’m in it now, so that’s it.”

But this isn’t the only time Love Island fans have branded Connor’s behaviour as overly controlling.

When new boys Connagh and Finn entered the villa, Sophie threw her hands in the air and had a big smile on her face.

Connor – who was coupled with her at the time – was furious and pulled her aside for a chat. The confrontation ended with him storming off.

One fan tweeted: “Connor is giving me all the psycho vibes, so controlling” while another wrote: “Warning signals from the start with him.”

Even voiceover star Iain Stirling was alarmed by his behaviour and condemned it on Capital Breakfast on Thursday.

He said: “He gets a bit angry very quickly, doesnt he? He was talking to Sophie last night through gritted veneers.

“I think theres a little bit of sort-of toxic masculinity going on there a bit, man.

“Its not a nice trait, and its a trait that a lot of men demonstrate and its a thing that a lot of men need to work on.”
