Love Island fans have mocked this year’s line up for the first winter series

Taking to Reddit, many people mocked the so-called diversity of the show and focused mainly on the age of the men and women looking for love.

“Age range is disappointing this season,” one person wrote.

“It ranges from 20-25. Thats tragic. I wonder if theyll throw a lot of older women in as time goes on since in the last season theyve brought plenty of drama to the villa (Maura, Anna and Arabella).”

A second person added: “I’m 22 and I already feel old seeing how young some contestants are (18-20).”

Twins Eve and Jess Gale are 20-years-old and set to steal the show

However, some viewers were keen to point out that the target audience for the reality show is young.

“I’mpretty sure the main demographic is like 16-25,” one person wrote, while another said: “I

think a lot of young viewers would be put off with all older contestants as its not relatable for them.

“People 16-25 on average dont want to watch a bunch of 30 year olds hooking up. And thats the target audience for the show.”

Rochelle Humes 21-year-ld sister Sophie is taking part in the show

A third person defended the line-up- and wrote: “Better this than having the one 29 year old get rejected by everyone and booted off in week 2 like what usually happens.”

The cast for the upcoming series was unveiled on Monday, and it seems the blonde twins will be stealing the limelight this year.

Ollie Williams, 23, is the heir to a very wealthy estate in Cornwall

VIP hostesses Eve and Jess Gale, 20, lead the sexy line-up which includes a copper for the first time, Lewis Capaldis stunning ex Paige Turley, 22, Rochelle Hume’s sister Sophie Piper, 21, and a toff who calls himself The Lord of Lanhydrock.

To find out who will couple up with who youll have to wait for Laura Whitmore, 34, to make her presenting debut on January 12.
