LOVE Island viewers are convinced producers are keeping Gemma Owen in the villa until her footballer dad can come for a visit.
The latest fan theory suggests show bosses want Gemma to stay on the show until the family visits episode so her dad, Michael Owen, can make an appearance on the ITV show.
Gemma recently escaped the bottom three as a whopping six islanders face the chop on tonight’s show.
Fans have been waiting for the moment the islanders find out the football legend is Gemma‘s father.
Michael is a Liverpool and England legend, who also played for Real Madrid and Manchester United in a highly decorated career.
Every year, the Islanders get a visit from the parents as the show heads towards the grand final.

Fans have theorised Gemma will be kept on the show until that episode so that producers can get the famous striker onto Love Island.

Gemma, 19, was coupled up with Luca Bish and she previously told the football-mad fishmonger he’d get on with her dad, but didn’t let on just how into the sport he is.
She said: “You’re sporty and you’re into football, you’re into racing.. you’d have stuff in common with my dad.”
Luca asked: “Would me and your dad go out and do things together or does he not get close to people?”
Gemma replied: “He was quite close with my first boyfriend.
“I think he appreciates a guy who’s into sport and all that kind of stuff. I hear you talking about football and racing and I’m like ooo.”
Luca replied: “Yeah I enjoy playing football and I know what I’m talking about with football.”

And in a major blunder from Luca he said cockily: “Well, we’ll see if he [your dad] knows what he’s talking about.”
