MOLLY-Mae and Tommy Fury’s Pomeranian puppy Mr Chai already has 100,000 followers on Instagram – making him an influencer just like his parents.
The dog – gifted to Molly-Mae on her 21st birthday earlier this week – thanked his “human friends” after reaching the impressive milestone within the space of 24 hours.
According to the UK’s Advertising Standards Agency (ASA), 30,000 followers on Instagram accounts for the “influencer” or “celebrity” status, while those with more than 100,000 followers can earn $700-$900 (£560-£729) per photo according to Influencer Marketing Hub.
Mr Chai – whose bio reads ‘Baby to Molly-Mae & Tommy’ – has a handful of photos on the account so far.
In one photo Love Island star Molly-Mae can be seen cuddling up to her pet pooch on his “first walk”.
The snap is captioned: “Friday feels. Went on my first walk and made mummy and daddy carry me the whole way”.
Another picture shows the dog starring in a “selfie” beside his dog mum.
“Mum taught me how to take a selfie today… do you guys think I did a good job?” reads the caption.
Mr Chai also appears in his own Instagram story, where he’s having cuddles in bed.
In the same clip he says: “I did a poo on daddy’s side and I don’t think hr was very happy about it”.
He also stars alongside Molly-Mae’s famous Ellie the elephant toy and writes: “This is my new friend Ellie… he gets angry when I bite his trunk so I do it to annoy him.”
Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury took their new puppy for a walk in Manchester on Thursday night after the couple were criticised for importing him from Russia.
The reality stars looked besotted with their new fluffy friend as they made a trip into the city centre.
Molly had to wait a few days before meeting the pooch after she revealed they had imported the dog from Russia – much to the anger of fans.
She explained: “He was meant to be here on my birthday btw guys but he’s coming from Russia so there were delays etc.”
Horrified fans flocked to social media to slam Molly-Mae’s choice to import her pet – with some outraged by her decision not to adopt an animal in need from the UK, and others worried about the global pandemic.
Russia closed their borders to foreign visitors in March due to coronavirus, with the decree extended indefinitely last month.
One wrote: “MOLLY MAE’s F***ING DOG IS COMING. From. RUSSIA. The ignorance, I’m so disgusted.”
