FORMER Love Island star Alexandra Cane has been forced to deny that she’s had surgery following her recent weight loss.
The 28-year-old says she’s in the best shape she’s ever been, but not because she’s gone under the knife.
After sharing several bikini videos on Instagram, Alexandra was met with comments from users who accused her of losing weight for money.
One person wrote: “I’m really disappointed in your recent transition from body positivity to weight lost advisor.
“I have the same figure you USED to have an am now left thinking I would be ‘happier’ and ‘feel sexier’ if I lost weight and looked as you do now.”
They continued: “It’s just an unhealthy message. At first I gave you the benefit of the doubt and felt you were doing it for you. Now you’re making money out of it. I’m disgusted and totally disappointed you have let so many young girls down.”
However, the brunette – who found fame on Love Island in 2018 – couldn’t ignore the comment and fired back via her Instagram story.
Sharing a screenshot of the comment, she said: “The reason why in this life you have to do things for yourself and nobody else. People will always have something negative to say. What matters is your own happiness.
“I’d be letting myself down if I had continued down a path that didn’t make me feel good.”
She later added: “I just want you guys to know that I would never do anything that is unnatural or a quick fix. My fitness journey has been completely authentic and Ive put in a lot of hard work to get to where I am now.
“I want to inspire you, support you and motivate you. I got myself out of a horrible place into a happy place doing this and I want to share how Ive done it. Im not into detox teas or fad diets. So lets not hate on each other. Theres no need for hate or negativity or bitterness.”
Alexandra finished off with: “Oh and one more thing If I hear another person commenting, saying Ive had liposuction OF ALL THINGS! – to get to where I am – Ill go the hell off because this is absolutely not what Im about.
“What other people choose to do to their bodies is up to them, but Im all about working hard, dedication and commitment to get to where I am. I love putting in the hard work and thats what Ive done. So anybody who comes at me with the liposuction thing – be gone!!”
Last night, Alexandra revealed to her 1.3 million followers that she was jetting off to Amsterdam for a solo trip.
Posting a selfie, she wrote: “Happy then, happier now. No one can take away my hard work and dedication. Health is wealth.”
