LOVE Island winner Amber Gill is “sick” of “incredibly upsetting” online trolls being cruel about her lockdown weight gain.
The reality star, 23, has been open about putting on a stone during the first lockdown and had vowed to become a fitness freak going into the current one.
But earlier this month she admitted she was struggling to find the motivation to exercise and be healthy.
She’s since received nasty and hurtful direct messages mocking her body, and she’s had enough.
A source close to Amber told us: “Amber’s absolutely sick of trolls attacking her about her figure.
“She knows that she’s put on a stone since the last lockdown and has been open about this but still finds it incredibly upsetting that strangers feel they can make comments like this.
“She’s a tough girl but still human.”
The latest abuse came as Amber promoted a trek she is doing in March with Fabulous to raise awareness of cervical cancer.
She will be going on a 47-mile hike through the Jordan desert to raise funds for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.
When the attention should have been on the worthwhile cause, one troll messaged her “quarantine weight” followed by a laughing emoji.
While another called her “chunk lord”.
Just weeks ago Amber spoke out against the abuse and reassured others who were in the same position as her.
She posted: “I’m sure the people that commented are the image of perfection so thank you for that Whoever put on weight this year don’t worry I’m with you.”
