Love Islands Connor vows to wait for Sophie but says he fears shell find someone else

FORMER Love Island hopeful Connor Durman has revealed he will be waiting for Sophie Piper, after he was voted out of the villa by his fellow islanders.

Connor and Sophie found themselves in the bottom two after a public vote, and the islanders were then asked to choose one to go home.

With Connor being picked to go home, he has since acknowledged that Sophie’s head “could be turned” and that he wants her to “enjoy the experience”.

“Its still early on in the Villa,” he said.

“Her head could be turned. I want her to enjoy the experience. Its a once in a lifetime thing. I wouldnt have any grudges against her. I do just want her to be happy.”

But the 25-year-old has said he will be waiting for Sophie on the outside, adding: “Im in no rush to meet someone else.”

“Whatever happens, happens,” he shared.

“And if we end up meeting up, lets just see what happens. I just want her to be happy, really.”

Host Laura Whitmore sent shockwaves through the villa when she announced that the pair were in the bottom two with one islander getting dumped – and the others contestants deciding which one.

Sophie and Connor looked stunned at Laura’s big news; Connor and Sophie were coupled up on the first day, but cracks began to appear when welsh model Connagh Howard entered the show.

The boys had become good friends with Connor and were devastated to see him go

Essex native Connor couldn’t hide his jealousy and lashed out at Sophie for her passing comments about the hot new bombshell.

Just days later, he erupted again when Sophie goaded him over another two bombshells and joked they were her type on paper.

He then came under fire from Love Island fans who claimed he was “controlling”, and even comparing him to stalker Joe Goldberg from Netflix drama You.

In the show, Joe formed murderous obsessions over women.

The comparisons came in full force during the truth game – with producers cutting to Connor glaring at welsh model Connagh and Sophie Piper every time they answered a question.
