Dr Alex, 31, took to his Instagram to reveal the exciting news that he had bought the four homes, which all sit on the same plot of land.

“Today’s the day,” he wrote on Sunday beside a photo of him by the front door of one of the homes, smiling wide for the camera.

“I’m so excited to announce that I’ve bought 4 holiday cottages in beautiful Pembrokeshire, in Wales.

“I initially bought these for my passion for property and renovation, as well as wanting to create relaxing spaces for families to holiday and enjoy the Welsh countryside in!

“With all the current devastation in Ukraine, I have decided I would love one of the cottages to be home to a Ukrainian family for as long as they need.

“My plan is to start the renovations and get the properties into a good state to house a family as soon as possible.”

Following up on his Instagram stories, the star reiterated that he wanted to house a family from Ukraine “as soon as possible”.

“I have been shocked by what is going on in Ukraine and I want to support in any way I can,” Dr Alex stressed, linking fans to his YouTube.

Posting a video looking around the derelict cottages, the star showed off the cosy spaces which he hoped to “upcycle into holiday cottages”.

He walked round the homes detailing how he hoped to “rip out” and “renovate” different parts of the buildings.

Fans immediately headed to the comments sections of the posts to gush over Dr Alex’s “amazing” decision to help others.

“What an incredible thing to do,” one fan gushed, as a second chimed in: “Amazing! You picked well. You’re doing such an amazing thing too.”

It comes shortly after Alex signed up to celebrity dating app Raya after he was dumped by his girlfriend for cheating.

The former Love Island star split from Ellie Hetch last month after a year of dating – with claims he was messaging other women.

A source said: “Alex wanted to get straight back into the dating game and has got a profile on Raya.

“He is using a selfie he took in his car as his lead profile picture and he describes himself as a campaigner.”
